Hervey Bay, what a beautiful place to stay at. Our Ensuite-Site was just next to a little river with a lots of sea roses, ducks and birds. We had a laundry inside the ensuite, so we could wash some of our clothes. That was great. We decided to go on a half day trip Whale-watching. Because the weather was so nice and the sea so calm, there weren’t so much Whales as on raff days would be. But it didn’t matter because therefore we could see a lots of dolphins. Alina loved them as well; she said the whole time that they were jumping 🙂 We enjoyed it very much.
The next day we booked Fraser Island, the biggest Sand Island in the world. Arrived on the island we went with an AWD-Bus to the lake McKenzie, after that we did a little rainforest walk. Then we got a nice lunch buffet. In the afternoon we drove up the Seventy-Five Mile Beach to the ship wrack and the sand pinnacles. We drove back to a little river (Eli Creek) which comes out of the Heart of the Island, where we could take a nice cool swim.
We decided to make an Island flight with a little airplane, which takes off and lands on only on the beach. It was just great!! We saw some Whales, Sharks, Turtles, the Rainforest, this amazing long beach and the island from above. We all loved it, even Alina.
Afterwards we went back on the boat and back home to Hervey Bay. It was a great day and we enjoyed it very much.
The next day we spent a little bit at the beach and we had to do some shopping, because our fridge was empty.
