Next Stop at Apollo Bay

After a good night at this beautiful cottage we started our trip in direction of Melbourne. The sea was very rough, high waves and in different shades of blue.

On our way to Apollo Bay, our next location, we saw a lot of branches and laying trees next to the road. The thunderstorm from yesterday let quite a big damage behind. We saw the tree which blocked yesterday the street and the very confused Koala which “lives” two trees further of the broken tree. Today he looked better but somehow a little bit tired… 🙂

We decided to give Cape Otway (www.lightstation.com) a second chance to see it. On the way down to the lighthouse, we picked again some great pictures from the Koalas.
As we arrived at Cape Otway it started raining…., again! We couldn’t believe. We decided to go back on the main road and then directly to Apollo Bay. But after a 5 Minute drive and some more pictures of these cute Koalas the sun came up and we decided to make a turn around. The Koalas must think that we are crazy :-)… so we almost run to the lighthouse.

We had to fight against very strong wind. At the café we enjoyed fresh Scones and nice tee. Because the wind was so strong, Alina and me we went back to the car and Martin took the pictures of the Lighthouse and the surroundings. If you would like to see free life Koalas then the trip is worth it. But the entry of 17.50 $ per adult is to expensive for what you can see! We would not do it again.

Our trip went further through nice green hills and a great sea view. Arrived at Apollo Bay Caravan Park (www.apollobayholidaypark.com.au) we decided to go on the beautiful beach for a little walk. Because we got hungry and the kitchen in the cabin was not so nice for cooking we took some “Take –away-Pizzas” at home. So our last night at a Caravan Park came up and we look forward seeing the Melbourne family soon.
