Diese Insel hat eine eher unr\u00fchmliche Vergangenheit&#8230; wurde sie doch immer wieder als Gefangeneninsel genutzt. Vor dem ersten Weltkrieg wurden dort Aboriginies inhaftiert und w\u00e4hrend dem ersten und zweiten Weltkrieg wurden vorallem Zivilisten aus ganz Australien unter erb\u00e4rmlichen Verh\u00e4ltnissen interniert&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Mittlerweile ist es touristisch erschlossen. Man erreicht diese Insel mit dem Schnellboot in ca. 30 Minuten von Fremantle Port. Auf der Insel kann man unter anderem seltene Tiere beobachten, wie zum Beispiel die kleinen Quokkas (kleine K\u00e4ngurus, siehe Fotos). Ausserdem gibt es wundersch\u00f6ne Beaches welche zum Baden und Schnorcheln einladen.<\/p>\n<p>Wir haben uns Fahrr\u00e4der gemietet und haben so einwenig diese sch\u00f6ne Insel
